Managua will receive an investment of $ 13 million for the construction of a new shopping center of 15,000 square meters, it will be located at mile 7.5 of the North Pan-American Highway, according to sources close to the project.

The Shopping Mall Cobirsa North, as the new center will be called, will have an area of shops and services, supermarket, banks, restaurants, pharmacies, shops, Food Court and playground, the project manager said, Ricardo Martinez Icaza.

The work is an investment in Commercial Real Estate by SA Cobirsa, and is a subsidiary of Grupo Calsa in the country. It will also be built in three stages beginning in March 2015, Martinez Icaza said to El Nuevo Diario.

The first phase will include the construction of 7,500 square meters and it is planned to be ready in August and September 2015, according to the source.

"It's a project we had been planning for years (...) what we have is top quality and the area needs a center like this. In the entire North Road there is not a mall of this size that can satisfy the needs of the population, "said the project manager.

According to a market research conducted by the group, in the area adjacent to the site live about 275,000 people and there are about 57,000 homes. In this road of the city also circulate about 60,000 vehicles daily.
